BlueRibbon Coalition Stellar Supporter of the Rubicon Trail

As we wrap up 2009, it's important to point out the on-going and significant sponsorship and support of the Rubicon Trail by the BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC).  BRC has funded and supported Trail Boss Del Albright for the entire 9 years of the existence of the efforts to save the Rubicon Trail by Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR).  BRC has provided travel support, professional staff guidance, mentoring, donations to training like the VLLS workshops, and whatever help FOTR needed this entire time.

With support from BRC, Del was able to initiate, develop and lead Friends of the Rubicon since the winter of 2000 when a gate was proposed on the Rubicon Trail.  Thanks to BlueRibbon, with added support from the California Association of 4Wheel Drive Clubs, and the hard work of tons of volunteers, the gate was stopped and the trail is alive and well today.

Many volunteers, clubs, and organizations work to help save the Rubicon Trail, with the exemplary leadership efforts of the BlueRibbon Coaliton through Del.
