About Us

Friends of the Rubicon, FOTR, is an informal coalition of groups and individuals dedicated to keeping the Rubicon Trail open and available to all recreationists.  We are the work force, the volunteer labor, and the source of trail knowledge for the Rubicon Trail. 

This is where to sign up to join us -- both as an organization and for work days and events.  Please join our FOTR email network to get on top of the planning and dialogue about the Rubicon and FOTR.

We have only one annual meeting, usually held in the first few months of the year, Sacramento area.

We do not collect dues or have bylaws and such.  We plan our trail efforts via the Internet, and we do our work on the ground.  We are about action and saving the Rubicon Trail.
